Project 365 : 84/365 – Stumped

I am not going to lie.  I have been struggling this past week coming up with ideas for this project.  Each night I am getting a little closer to panic as I end up settling for a photograph to put up just to put up so that I stay on track.  I am searching for ideas to right this ship and get this project back on track.  Back to making photographs that I am proud of.  I will say that I figured that I would have run into one of these walls by now and I am relieved that it took this long to hit one.  I guess that is one of the points of this project, perseverance.  Perseverance that will hopefully continue my learning and enjoyment of photography.

Project 365 : 83/365 – From the Hip

After failing to edit two batches of photographs tonight to find my photograph of the day I came across this photograph that I took mostly as a joke.  After playing around with it in Lightroom a bit I kind of like how it came out.  What do you think?

Project 365 : 82/365 – Jewelry

After a long day followed by a physical therapy appointment it goes without saying that I am a little wiped.  Luckily once I saw Miranda’s necklaces hanging together I knew I had a little bit of an idea of what I was going to photograph for the day.  It took a little bit of playing with my SB-600 on manual to get the exposure that I was looking for without blowing out the highlights and without seeing the flash reflected in any of the stones.

Project 365 : 70/365 – Self Portrait

Maybe I am running out of ideas, maybe I am getting just a little vain (definitely not the latter) but I am having a little fun getting back into playing with off camera flash again.  It is a lot of fun playing around with the position of the SB-600 as well as using or not using a shoot through umbrella.

Project 365 : 66/365 – Bok Choy

Over the past few weeks Miranda and I have been expanding the range of the fruits and vegetables that we get while at Whole Foods and at the Farmers Market.  What has been great is that we haven’t planned a weekly dinner menu but Miranda has been able to combine what we have shopped for in amazing combinations that I have enjoyed eating a great deal.

This is the first time that I think either one of us have ever bought bok choy.  I cannot wait to see how these little gems end up on our dinner plate but for now, I am just having a lot of fun saying bok choy.

Project 365 : 63/365 – Another Self Portrait

I finally figured out the issues that I was having getting the auto-focus to work when I used my Nikon ML-L3 Remote today.  Not sure exactly how, but I am not complaining.  I have been wanting to do some more dramatically lit self portraits so I used my SB-600 without the umbrella for this photograph.  I really like the way that it came out but I think with more practice I can get less of the shadow on my right shoulder in the future.
