Project 365 : 138/365 – Nail
This might sound a little crazy but with all that has been going on here lately I feel like I need to slow it down a bit. I wanted tonights photograph to be something basic, something simple, something plain. I think a black and white photograph of a nail might accomplish all three of those goals.
What do you think? Am I nuts?

Project 365 : 110/365 – Rain Drops
In Southern California it barely rains which gives me limited opportunities to photograph beads of water after the rain. I was lucky enough to get home right when the clouds parted today so that I could take advantage of the opportunity.

Project 365 : 92/365 – Flower Macro
I have been seeing a lot of people posting photographs of flowers using macro lenses over the last few days and with having some nice sunlight afterwork this afternoon, I decided to do one of my own.

Flower Macro Shots
It has been a while since I have taken any floral macro shots and seeing as how I picked up some beautiful Dahlias and Gerbera Daisies for the Mrs. while I was at the farmers market on Sunday morning, I figured it was time to break the hiatus.
I hope you like them:

The Huntington Library
The Miranda. and I made another trip to The Huntington in San Marino, CA on Saturday afternoon. The weather here in Southern California has been amazing lately and we really wanted to take advantage of the heat and the sun.
After we had returned from our previous visit I had lamented the fact that I did not have a macro lens for the occasion. This time, that wasn’t the case. With the Mrs. reading on a blanket in the shade, I lugged around my bag and 500 pound tripod all over the gardens putting my AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D to good use.
Here are some of the photographs that I captured:
New Macro Shots with the D90
Last night I thought that it would be fun to take some shots with my 60mm Macro Lens on the new D90 body. The flowers I bought my wife for Valentine’s Day seemed like a great subject for such an experiment. I also wanted to play around with the in camera settings to produce JPG files over RAW files (for those not sure what I am talking about, check out my previous post on the subject).
Here is a gallery of the shots that I took and they are the JPG images that the camera processed by itself. There has been no editing done to them at all.
Tell me what you think.
