Project 365 : 235/365 – Pea Soup With Scallops
Over the past week Miranda and I have been making recipes out of a cookbook that she is reviewing for her blog. There is no question that we are having fun and getting to eat delicious food but I also get a chance to photograph the food as well.

Project 365 : 221/365 – Happy (Hour) Miranda
Since our move in May there is no restaurant that we have hit more than the Hudson House. It quickly has become our favorite bringing us in close to once a week. The food is so amazing that it wasn’t until tonight that I have ordered anything but the skirt steak or the burger. Miranda and I both brought our cameras on our walk and I made this right as her buratta salad arrived.

Project 365 : 219/365 – Grilling Pizza
Miranda and I have been excited all day about making some homemade pizza for dinner. On the way home from picking up the ingredients that we needed, Miranda mentioned that she wanted to grill the pizza rather than to bake it. We have been seeing and hearing a lot about grilled pizza but we had never tried it ourselves until tonight. After a google search and the viewing of a how-to video, we gave it a shot. Here are our two beauties right after we added all of the goodies. They were amazing! If you have a grill, you really should give this a go.

Project 365 : 214/365 – Brownie Bites
There are a very few things that are as amazing as fudge brownies right after they come out of the oven. These little guys won’t last very long here. That is for sure!

Project 365 : 210/365 – Lemon Wedges
This is another photograph that I have had in my head for a few days that I decided to give a go tonight. It also marked the first occasion that I used my SB-600 on the D700. It took a good handful of takes but I am pretty pleased with the result. Now, time to clean up the mess …

Project 365 : 206/365 – Pasta Salad
I have been itching to make this for a little while and I finally did this afternoon. I thought that while I made it and photographed it, I would also share the recipe. Keep in mind this is a pretty loose recipe that I got from my mother and that there is a ton of room for improvisation. Keep in mind for the best flavor, make this a day before you need it/want to have it. It needs time in the fridge to set up all of the flavors just right.
