Project 365 : 204/365 – Sunset Blvd.
I got the word late this afternoon that my request to photograph The Sound Strike Benefit at the Hollywood Palladium (featuring Rage Against The Machine and Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band) came though. It was great timing because just a few hours earlier, my brand new D700 arrived and I already had the battery charging. I spent most of the night outside the venue waiting to be escorted in and out for the different performances which was great because it gave me a little chance to get used to my new body. Here is one of the first of what I know are going to be many from this amazing camera:

Project 365 : 203/365 – Symmetry
These flowers are everywhere in Southern California. Apparently they are in front of our house too. They seemingly are in bloom everywhere but they just decided to bloom in front of our house this week. I don’t know what they are called but what draws me to them is the symmetry in the order of threes. If you know the name, please enlighten me (I tried google but had no luck).

Project 365 : 202/365 – More Goodbyes
This is much harder than saying goodbye to my 70-300mm VR. I am selling my D90 in the next few days to pull together what I need to pick up the D700 next week. I am so excited to make this upgrade but I am sad that it is at the expense of this camera.

Project 365 : 201/365 – Groomed
Bailey was a little wiped after his first trip to the groomer today. From what I gather, it was a particularly rough experience for him as well as the groomer. He does look like he is a puppy again which is nice.

Project 365 : 200/365 – Saying Goodbye
It is time for me and my 70-300mm VR to part ways. I was pretty excited when I got it but since my obsession with fast glass set in, it rarely made its way out of my bag. So, it is time to say goodbye so that I can make some of the upgrades that I have been saving for over the past few months. I will be listing the lens on eBay in the next 24 hours so if you are interested in it, let me know.
On a side note: Holy cow! It is day 200 already! Wow! I can’t believe that I have made it this far!!

It has been an amazing weekend of music, friends, food, and fun. A little wiped out so I thought I would go the iPhone photograph route today. I hope you all had as fun of a weekend as I did!
