I am really looking forward to photographing Kristen and Alex’s wedding next month.  These two are so much fun to hang out with and their awesome personalities really came though last week when I photographed them in this engagement session.

It has been a wonderful weekend filled with food and friends.  Miranda and I are finally relaxing a bit.  I am editing, she is writing.  A nice close to a wonderfully extended weekend.

In October I am photographing Kristen and Alex’s wedding and I could not be more excited.  I was able to get a start on the engagement session that we had planned tonight and it was so much fun.  As I am pulling the photographs onto the computer I can see that their personalities definitely translated into the photographs.  I can’t wait to dive into this set for them!

He looks like he is hating it but anyone that has met Bailey knows that he is in heaven.

This is one of my first photographs using my SB-600 off-camera and into a new 16″ soft box that I picked up off of Amazon.  I am liking it so far but I still need to play with it a bit.

Since our move in May there is no restaurant that we have hit more than the Hudson House.  It quickly has become our favorite bringing us in close to once a week.  The food is so amazing that it wasn’t until tonight that I have ordered anything but the skirt steak or the burger.  Miranda and I both brought our cameras on our walk and I made this right as her buratta salad arrived.

Tonight I was up at the Greek Theater to photograph MGMT, Francis and the Lights, and Helios Creed.  Unfortunately due to a disagreement over the release, I did not photograph MGMT but I did photograph the openers.  Stay tuned for the photographs from the night but for now, here is one of Francis Farewell Starlight from Francis and the Lights:

I can’t imagine anyone would think that this is what I had in mind when taking a few photographs this afternoon trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to post for today.  But for some odd reason as I was sitting here going through the photographs that I made, I kept coming back to this one I took on a lark while on our back deck.  The mirror caught me eye and I hammed it up a bit.  What can I say?  I can laugh at myself.

Seemingly out of the blue the idea of doing a tryptic popped into my head this afternoon.  It is odd because I can only think of one other that I have done before.  Regardless the simple idea of counting the frames seemed like a great idea to jump off with so I ran with it.  I hope you like the result …
