Results of My Submissions with iSyndica
After signing up (and completing the necessary applications) for the 14 stock websites listed below, I uploaded a batch ten images to each. I was only able to use the iSyndica service for distributing the images to Crestock, Fotolia, Fotomind, MostPhotos, Pixmac, and YayMicro at the time of upload because I either did not have the required credentials for proper account linkage to iSyndica, or because my application to become a contributor was still in process for the remainder of the websites.
Here are the results:
- BigStockPhoto
- CanStockPhoto
- Crestock
- Fotolia
- Fotomind
- MostPhotos
- MyStock
- Pixmac
- YayMicro
- 123RF
- Dreamstime
- FeaturePics
- StockXPert
- Zymmetrical

I am very pleased with this initial round of submissions. 58% of the images that I have received feedback on were accepted. While this number is not great, I did learn a lot from this experience. I am in the process of compiling some tips that I would like to share in my next post about what I learned from the process as well as the feedback that I have received (particularly from the websites that rejected my submissions). Stay tuned!
I would love to hear your feedback or any comments that you may have if you have tried this as well.

Did you try iStock? I love them…but they already have lots to choose from so it may not be worth whatever competitive process you may have to go through.
Love your stuff though. Good luck! They’ll be lucky to have you.
I have not. I wanted to stick with stock websites that were linked with iSyndica at first. I plan on trying iStock as well as ShutterStock.
Are there others that anyone would recommend?
Hey Paul,
You have to enable your FTP account with Dreamstime and your FTP account information is different than your web login – this is probably why you haven’t been able to upload with them, either on your own, or using our service.

Feel free to contact our support if you need any help regarding this.
Best Regards.
I understand that the login information is different and that is why I could not link the Dreamstime.com account to iSyndica. In this situation I uploaded to Dreamstime directly on their website and the images still did not show up after the upload. Do I also need an FTP account to upload to them via HTML?
Slow follower, here – sorry. No, you don’t if you just upload through their web form. I think I know what you mean now, though: when you submit your images for review they… disappear from the site, until they come back as either approved or rejected (duh, you probably figured that out by now, I guess!) It’s DT’s workflow model. Not very pleasant when you start submitting with them and bite your nails wondering what’s going on, but like anything, you get used to it
